National Table Tennis Championship
The 68th National School Games Table Tennis Championship transformed the Indoor Hall in Silvassa into a world-class arena. Kamnath brought together 450 of India's best U-17 athletes and 180 support staff from 17 states and union territories, delivering a five-day festival that merged high-stakes national competition with a genuine spirit of cultural exchange and community celebration.
From a meticulously planned competition arena and dedicated warm-up zones to end-to-end hospitality for all 630 participants—three nutritious meals daily, comfortable lodging, and on-site medical support—every detail was engineered around the athlete experience. The championship opened with a grand torch relay led by a national table tennis icon and traditional tribal dances (Ghor, Machhi). It closed with dazzling fireworks and trophy presentations, drawing an estimated 2,000 spectators daily. Recognized by the SGFI and Department of Sports for its national-standard execution, the event has been nominated for Best Sporting Event of the Year.
